I am here to discuss your needs, and the counselling service I offer, without obligation. Sessions are usually weekly, but again I am happy to be flexible and discuss this with you.
I charge £40 per 50 minute individual session.
I can work within time-limited sessions or open-ended sessions, whichever will work best for you.
I am happy to offer an introductory session of up to 30mins, free of charge. This is to give us a chance to explore what you may want to gain from our time together. This can take place in person, by phone or email.
Have you considered telephone or Skype as an alternative counselling method? There can be a variety of reasons that can make these credible alternative to face to face counselling. You may have issues with distance and /or travelling to counselling, mobility concerns, or many other reasons/concerns that could make this a worthwhile option.
The choice is yours!!!
How does counselling work?
As a person-centred counsellor I believe no two people are the same; what works for one person may not work for another. In counselling there is no one approach that meets the needs of everyone. While many of the symptoms of anxiety, depression, anger and hopelessness may feel similar to most people, the circumstances, personal characteristics and conflicts always differ from one person to another.
My approach to helping clients starts with the recognition that every person is different, and it's my belief that each of us has a strong inner capacity for change, even when we feel a lack of motivation and energy to do so. There is strength and a drive for wholeness in everyone that, when illuminated through counselling, can be a powerful self-motivating force.
Life can be full of surprises. Sometimes relationships, careers and life in general do not unfold as expected and can throw up many challenges. It is how we deal with these challenges that I believe shapes us. Counselling can help encourage the communication of conflict, leading to new insights and an understanding of life's problems - bringing back the resourcefullness you once felt.
As a person-centred counsellor I am not here to tell you what to do but to work with you to help you find the best way forward for yourself. Finding the answers that are right for you.
The confidential nature of counselling means that if I were to see you out-with the counselling setting, I would not obviously greet you but would be happy if you want to say "hi".
